Why is it called Puyuma?
普悠玛号，全名普悠玛自强号，是日本制造，隶属于台湾铁路管理局的倾斜式列车(摆式列车)，型号是TEMU2000型(即台铁TEMU2000型电联车)，也是台铁继TEMU1000型电联车(太鲁阁号)之后，第二款从日本进口的摆式列车。
2013年2月开始台湾东部干线运营，最高运行速度可达150公里每小时。
2018年10月21日，由新北树林开往台东的台铁6432次普悠玛自强号列车在宜兰新马车站附近的东正线发生出轨事故，已致18人死亡，190人受伤。

On October 21, 2018, the Taiwan Railway No. 6432 Puyuma Ziqiang train from Shulin, New Taipei to Taitung derailed on the East Main Line near Xinma Station in Yilan, killing 18 people and injuring 190 people.
