"Creating JD.com" is a work by Liu Qiangdong, who also published "Liu Qiangdong's Autobiography" in his own words.

Liu Qiangdong, male, Han nationality, born on February 14, 1974, from Suqian, Jiangsu, his ancestral home is Xiangtan, Hunan. Chairman and CEO of JD.com Group, graduated from Renmin University of China, member of China Democratic National Construction Association, honorary village director of Pingshitou Village, Fuping County, Hebei Province.

On June 18, 1998, he founded JD.com in Zhongguancun, acting as an agent for selling optical magnetic products and serving as general manager.

In 2004, he first entered the field of e-commerce, founded "JD Multimedia Network" (the predecessor of JD.com Mall), and served as CEO. JD.com Mall has become China's largest self-operated e-commerce enterprise, and JD.com Group's business has involved retail, digital technology, logistics, health, insurance, logistics real estate, cloud computing, AI and overseas fields.

In May 2014, JD.com was successfully listed on NASDAQ in the United States.

On April 6, 2020, Liu Qiangdong ranked 89th on the Hurun Global Top 100 Entrepreneurs list with a wealth of RMB 95 billion; on May 12, Liu Qiangdong and his wife ranked 31st on the 2020 New Fortune 500 Rich List with a wealth of RMB 58.42 billion.

On December 10, Liu Qiangdong resigned as the manager of Yichang Xudong Keyue Logistics Co., Ltd.
