JD.com will invest in building "Asia No. 1" in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Shenyang, Chengdu, Wuhan and other places to build a self-operated modern operation system covering the whole country.

In 2012, JD.com took the lead in planning and building the first e-commerce operation center in East China that integrates the functions of temporary storage of goods, order processing, sorting and distribution, to support and promote the company's business development in East China.

Logistics equipment

Goods-to-person system: used for automated storage, retrieval, and handling of cartons, turnover boxes, and other containers, and can realize goods-to-person picking technology.

AS/RS system: automated stereoscopic warehouse system, high-density storage form, can make full use of storage space.

Cross-belt sorter system: high-speed automated sorting system, suitable for sorting of small and medium-sized packages, with fully automatic package supply, to minimize personnel input and improve sorting efficiency.

AGV system: automatic guided vehicle (AGV), replaces the manual mode of carrying heavy objects and repetitive routine material handling work, and can work in conjunction with robots, automated stereoscopic warehouses, etc.

Mezzanine shelf system: a multi-layer shelf system built of steel structure that makes full use of space, and employees pick goods in the aisle. In some projects of Asia No. 1, a four-layer mezzanine shelf system is used to increase the available picking area and maximize the use of storage space.

Conveyor system: Asia No. 1 uses a large number of conveyor lines in each logistics center to reduce the amount of goods handled, reduce the labor intensity of personnel, and improve the level of automation.
