The externally operated Qingdao-Amazon AWS Joint Innovation Center can be seen as an upgraded version of AWS's full entry into the Chinese market. The Joint Innovation Center is the first brand-authorized joint innovation center of Amazon AWS in the world. It is jointly built by Licang District of Qingdao, Amazon AWS and Qingdao Wanguo Cloud Commerce Internet Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Wanguo Cloud Commerce"), and has an international incubator for start-ups, an accelerator for the transformation of traditional enterprises, and a cloud innovation academy for cultivating cloud computing talents.
