There are no golden apple snails in the sea, mountains, deserts, the north and inland.

Golden apple snails are molluscs of the family Physalis and the genus Physalis. The shell looks similar to that of field snails. They live in groups in shallow water areas near the pond. They have a wide diet and are omnivorous snails that mainly feed on plant baits. They mainly feed on duckweed, vegetables, fruits, etc. They especially like to eat sweet food and also like to eat carrion of animals in the water. It is native to tropical and subtropical areas of Central America, such as Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. It is widely distributed in more than ten countries including North America, Asia and Africa, and has become a global invasive alien species.
