So when buying a trademark on Amazon, you must check carefully. Does the other party have the right to dispose of the trademark?

Before trading a trademark, please understand whether the person you are trading with has the following conditions:

(1) Whether he has the right to dispose of this registered trademark

(2) Is he the right holder (registrant or owner) of this registered trademark? If not, has he been specially authorized by the right holder to become an agent, and is he a licensee who is allowed to sublicense?

(3) If the trademark is jointly owned, has he obtained the consent of the co-owners?

03 Is the trademark a residual trademark?

Some trademarks are sold very cheaply and look very good in terms of categories. But be careful and make sure to carefully check which goods or services the trademark is registered for. After some trademarks are registered, the registration certificate you get may only have one or a few unimportant small categories. This is the so-called residual trademark. The value of this type of trademark is not high unless these categories happen to be what you need.

04 When does a trademark registration expire?

Trademark registrations have a time limit. The validity period under my country's Trademark Law is 10 years. However, the registration can be renewed upon expiration. If a trademark registration is about to expire, the relevant transaction parties should urge the trademark registrant to complete the renewal procedures to avoid damaging their own commercial rights.
