The real source of the Amazon River is located in the Mismi Snow Mountain in the Andes Mountains.

A stream from the Nevado Mismi Peak on the snowy mountain first flows into Lake Lauricacha, then into the Apurimac River, then into the Ucayali River, and finally merges with the Marañon River to form the main stream of the Amazon River. The Amazon River, located in northern South America, is the river with the largest flow, the largest basin, and the most tributaries in the world.
