The Yangtze River does not pass through Henan

The Yangtze River is the largest river in Asia and the third largest river in the world, second only to the Nile River in Africa and the Amazon River in South America. In ancient documents, "Jiang" specifically refers to the Yangtze River. It originates from the Geladandong Snow Mountain, the main peak of the Tanggula Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, flows through three levels of terraces, and flows from west to east into the East China Sea. The Yangtze River has many tributaries. The Yangtze River basin is about 3,219 kilometers wide from east to west and about 966 kilometers wide from north to south. The Yangtze River is 6,397 kilometers long and has a total basin area of ​​1,808,500 square kilometers, accounting for about 1/5 of the total land area.

The Yangtze River originates from the Geladandong Snow Peak of the Tanggula Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The main stream flows through 11 provinces (cities, regions) including Qinghai, Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Shanghai. It flows into the East China Sea and is the longest river in my country with the largest annual runoff and the largest basin area. The upper reaches are from the source to Yichang, Hubei, and mainly flow through the first and second steps of my country's terrain, accepting a large number of tributaries, with a large increase in water volume, a large drop, and rich hydropower resources; the middle reaches are from Yichang to Hukou, Jiangxi, and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River flow through the plain area and accept Poyang Lake, Dongting Lake, Hanjiang River and other water systems, with a large increase in water volume. The Jingjiang River section is winding and prone to flooding; below Hukou, Jiangxi is the lower reaches, and there are not many river tributaries flowing through the plain area in the lower reaches, but due to the large amount of water and low terrain, the flood prevention task is arduous. The important tributaries of the Yangtze River are: Yalong River, Minjiang River, Jialing River, Wujiang River, Xiangjiang River, Hanjiang River, Ganjiang River, etc., among which Hanjiang River is the largest tributary of the Yangtze River.
