(1) The Yangtze River, the longest river in Asia, originates from the Geladandong Snow Mountain, the main peak of the Tanggula Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The Yangtze River is the third longest river in the world, second only to the Nile River in Africa and the Amazon River in South America, and its water volume is also the third in the world. Its total area is 1,808,500 square kilometers (excluding the Huaihe River Basin), accounting for about 1/5 of the country's total land area. Together with the Yellow River, it is known as the "Mother River". The Yangtze River, the Great Wall, Huangshan Mountain and the Yellow River are iconic attractions in China.
(2) The Yellow River originates from the Bayankala Mountains in Qinghai Province and flows through nine provinces, including Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan and Shandong, in a "J" shape, before flowing into the Bohai Sea. Because the middle section of the river flows through the Loess Plateau in China, it carries a large amount of silt, so it is also known as the river with the most silt in the world.
The two major rivers in China are: the Yangtze River and the Yellow River
The source of the Yangtze River: After an investigation in 1976, it was believed that the Tuotuo River was the main source.
In 2008, after an investigation of the three major water systems at the source of the Yangtze River, a scientific expedition team believed that the flow of Dangqu was 5 times greater than that of Tuotuo River. After a comprehensive analysis by the expedition team, it was recommended that the source (main source) of the Yangtze River be located at the Qiequ of Dangqu.
The source of the Yellow River: the first is Zhaqu, the second is Yugu Zongliequ, and the third is Karjiqu, all of which are in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
The sources of the two major rivers in my country are both in the Three Rivers Source on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The two major rivers refer to the Yangtze River and the Yellow Sea. The source of the Yangtze River originates from the Geladandong Snow Mountain on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, flows eastward through Qinghai, Sichuan, and to Shanghai and other 10 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, with a total length of more than 6,300 kilometers.
The Yellow River originates from the northern foot of the Bayankala Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, flows eastward through Qinghai, Gansu and Shandong into the sea, with a total length of 5,646 kilometers.
There are two major rivers in China, one is the Yangtze River and the other is the Yellow River.
The southern part of Qinghai Province, my country, with an average altitude of 3,500 to 4,800 meters, is the hinterland of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the roof of the world, and is also the famous "Three Rivers Source Area". It is the source and catchment area of the world-famous rivers that have nurtured the long history of civilization of the Chinese nation and the Indochina Peninsula: the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and the Lancang River (known as the Mekong River abroad).
The Three Rivers Source is known as the "Chinese Water Tower". 25% of the total water volume of the Yangtze River and 49% of the total water volume of the Yellow River come from this area.
The Yellow River originates from the Yuguzonglie Basin at the northern foot of the Bayankala Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, flows through nine provinces and autonomous regions including Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, and Shandong, and flows into the Bohai Sea in Kenli District, Dongying City, Shandong Province. It is 5,464 kilometers long and is the second largest river in China.
The Yangtze River originates from the southwest side of the Geladandong Peak of the Tanggula Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the "Roof of the World". The main stream flows through 11 provincial administrative regions (eight provinces, two cities, and one district) including Qinghai, Tibet, Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Shanghai, and flows into the East China Sea east of Chongming Island. It is 6,387 kilometers long, ranking third in the world among the world's major rivers, second only to the Nile River in Africa and the Amazon River in South America.
There are two major rivers in China, one is the Yangtze River and the other is the Yellow River. The Yangtze River originates from the Geladandong Snow Mountain, the main peak of the Tanggula Mountains in southern Qinghai Province, and its source is the Tuotuo River. The Yangtze River is the most water-rich river in China, with a total water resource of 961.6 billion cubic meters, accounting for about 36% of the total runoff of rivers in the country, 20 times that of the Yellow River. It flows through 11 provinces and finally flows into the East China Sea. The Yellow River is the birthplace of the Chinese nation and the mother river of every descendant of the Yellow Emperor. The source of the Yellow River is the Bayankala Mountains on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in Qinghai Province. The main stream of the Yellow River flows through nine provinces (autonomous regions) including Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan and Shandong, and finally flows into the Bohai Sea.
