There are two prefecture-level cities near the Yangtze River in Sichuan Province, one is Yibin and the other is Luzhou City.
The Yangtze River is more than 6,300 kilometers long, second only to the Amazon River in South America and the Nile River in Africa. The source of the Yangtze River is located in the heart of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The terrain here is high, the air is thin, the climate is harsh, the transportation is difficult, and it is rarely visited. The source area has snow-white snow-capped mountains and glaciers, continuous swamps, steaming springs, and the highest altitude on the earth with large areas of wind-blown sand dunes with lakes in between. The source area of the Yangtze River is composed of the main source Tuotuo River, the southern source Dangqu River, and the northern source Chumar River. After the Tuotuo River and Dangqu River merge together, it is called Tongtian River. Tongtian River flows through the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Qinghai Province. The river channel is relatively straight and the water volume is abundant. After Tongtian River joins Batang River in Yushu, it flows into the high mountain valleys at the border between Tibet Autonomous Region and Sichuan Province, and is called Jinsha River. Jinsha River flows through the famous Hengduan Mountains. The terrain gradually slopes from northwest to northeast, with mountains stretching out. The valleys between the mountains are in a "V" shape, up to two or three thousand meters deep, and the river water is like a galloping horse, running through the deep valleys. The Nujiang River and Lancang River, which are adjacent to Jinsha River, are only more than 70 kilometers away from each other at the closest point, and the three rivers flow parallel to the south. Jinsha River passes through the north side of Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and flows to Yibin City, Sichuan Province. When it merges with Minjiang River flowing from the north in Yibin, it is called Yangtze River.
The first city in Sichuan that is close to the Yangtze River is Yibin. It is located at the confluence of the Minjiang River and the Yangtze River, so Yibin is called the first city of the Yangtze River. Yibin is rich in resources and has a prosperous population, developed transportation, and thriving commerce. It is the throat of the three provinces of Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou. ‘At the same time, the people here are simple and honest, there are many delicious foods, it is a good place to live, it is a good place for business, and it is even more suitable for Yibin. I hope that guests from afar will visit Yibin.
