Yu Gang was born in Yichang, Hubei in 1959. He is currently the co-founder, executive chairman, and tutor of the 111 Group (which includes 1yao.com, 1dian, and 1yaocheng).
Bachelor of Wuhan University, Master of Cornell University, and Doctor of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was a tenured professor and chair professor at the School of Management of the University of Texas at Austin.
Yu Gang is the co-founder and honorary chairman of 1haodian. He is also the co-chairman of the Zhuoer Group. He was formerly the vice president of global supply chain at Amazon and the vice president of global procurement at Dell.
