Coconut palm: The leaves are long and wide, and the branches and leaves are symmetrically distributed on a plane. The trunk is thick and not smooth.

Rubber palm: A large tree, up to 30 meters high, with rich latex. Finger-shaped compound leaves with 3 leaflets; petiole up to 15 cm long, with 2 (3-4) glands at the top; leaflets are elliptical, 10-25 cm long, 4-10 cm wide, with short pointed to acuminate apex, cuneate base, entire margin, glabrous on both sides; 10-16 pairs of lateral veins, with obvious reticulate veins; petiolules are 1-2 cm long. Inflorescence is axillary, conical, up to 16 cm long, and covered with short gray-white soft hairs; male flowers: calyx lobes are ovate-lanceolate, about 2 mm long; 10 stamens, arranged in 2 whorls, anthers are 2-chambered, longitudinally fissured; female flowers: calyx is the same as male flowers, but larger; ovary (2-)3 (-6) chambers, short style, 3 stigmas. Capsule is elliptical, 5-6 cm in diameter, with 3 longitudinal grooves, beak tip at the top, slightly concave at the base, thin exocarp, with reticular veins after drying, thick endocarp, woody; seeds are elliptical, light gray-brown, with spots. Flowering period is May-June.
