August is usually the Amazon forest fire season. NASA scientists said that the rising surface temperature of the tropical North Atlantic in 2020 is sucking moisture from the southern Amazon, causing the terrain in the southern Amazon River to become dry and flammable, making it easier for artificial campfires used for agriculture and land clearing to get out of control and spread.
The causes of the Amazon forest fire include natural factors, but more are human destruction. The existence of the rainforest will increase rainfall, but the reduction of trees has led to a continuous decrease in precipitation. Coupled with the dry ground and rising surface temperatures, it will eventually lead to tree dryness in some areas, forming a vicious cycle.
