Amazon UBC numbers must be applied for brands. Generally, brands are for classification purposes. Most categories can be used, and only a few special categories such as medicine and children require special applications. If you have applied for a UPC exemption on Amazon but still need a UPC to upload a product, there may be the following reasons:

1. The wrong category was selected. A large category was selected, but not all subcategories under the large category can be exempted from UPC.

2. Amazon system problem.

1. Apply for an exemption for the corresponding product type, not the large category. When adding products, even if it is the same large category, the subcategory may be a different product type. Take a close look at which product type you need to apply for, and then reapply for the corresponding product type exemption.
