Egg turtle

Egg turtle is a large type of turtle that is becoming more and more popular. Egg turtle is not the name of a turtle!!!

Instead, it involves two subfamilies and four genera of turtles. The turtles in these four families and genera have a common feature, that is, the carapace is oval and smooth, and looks like a big egg when viewed from above. Over time, friends who love them have given them a friendly name: "Egg Turtle", and add the word "egg" after the names of different species of turtles.

Two subfamilies:

Staurotypinae: includes the genera of box turtles and giant musk turtles

Kinosterninae: includes the genera of musk turtles and kinosterninae
