Humen in Dongguan has more Taobao businesses. At present, there are more than 8,000 enterprises and self-employed individuals engaged in e-commerce in Humen Town, of which about 90% are engaged in the clothing and apparel industry.

In July 2015, Humen Town was rated as a "National E-commerce Demonstration Base" by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, becoming the first national-level e-commerce demonstration base for clothing in the country. The e-commerce development momentum of Humen's clothing and apparel industry is rapid, and it has become an e-commerce cluster in South China. At present, there are more than 8,000 enterprises and self-employed individuals engaged in e-commerce in the town. In 2016, the town achieved online sales of 38.5 billion yuan through third-party platforms; in addition, the express delivery business volume accounts for half of Dongguan City, making it an online shopping logistics cluster in South China.

In 2016, the town's annual express delivery business volume was 290 million tickets, and the average daily e-commerce express delivery business volume was nearly 800,000 tickets.
