Socialized operation of libraries means providing personalized socialized operation to libraries of different sizes through government procurement service outsourcing, socialized cooperation, etc., closely combining library management with readers' reading needs, constantly improving the quality of the service team, and greatly improving the service efficiency and effectiveness of the library; in short, the government outsources public services to corporate operations, and the companies complete the overall service outsourcing of the library.

There are not many companies that undertake the socialized operation of public libraries nationwide. Among them, Wuxi Aidixun is relatively well-known. It has undertaken the Wuxi Xinwu District Library, the North Library of Beijing Haidian District Library, the Wuhu Jinghu District Library, the Guiyang Nanming District Library and the Hengshui City Library. Among them, the Wuxi Xinwu District Library realized the socialized operation of the entire library in 2011. It is one of the first public libraries in the country to adopt service outsourcing to operate. To date, the Wuxi Xinwu District Library is still operated and managed by Wuxi Aidixun.
