旗下的淘宝网和天猫在2012年销售额达到1.1万亿人民币。其2015年度商品交易总额已经超过3万亿元人民币，是全球最大零售商。

阿里巴巴亦向中国内地的企业提供商务管理软件、互联网基础设施服务、出口相关服务和贷款服务，同时通过旗下的阿里学院经营管理人员及电子商务专才培训服务。

It is a company that provides e-commerce online trading platforms, including B2B trade, online retail, shopping search engines, third-party payments and cloud computing services. The group's subsidiaries include Alibaba B2B, Taobao, Tmall, eTao, Alibaba Cloud Computing, Alipay, Ant Financial, etc.

Taobao and Tmall achieved sales of RMB 1.1 trillion in 2012. Its total merchandise transaction volume in 2015 exceeded RMB 3 trillion, making it the world's largest retailer.

Alibaba also provides business management software, Internet infrastructure services, export-related services and loan services to companies in mainland China, and provides training services for management personnel and e-commerce professionals through its Ali Academy.
