Zhang Yong

On December 11, 2007, Zhang Yong joined Taobao as Vice President and CFO of Taobao. Before that, Taobao had no CFO position, only CFO position.

In June 2011, he became CEO of Taobao Mall.

On July 23, 2012, Alibaba announced that it had launched a new corporate management system, classifying its major companies into 7 business groups, which Jack Ma called "Seven Swords".

The new seven business groups are: Taobao, Yitao, Tmall, Juhuasuan, Alibaba Cloud, Alibaba International Business and Alibaba Small Business Business. Alibaba Group said that the "Seven Business Groups" are managed in a unified manner under the coordination of the group.

The presidents of the seven business groups after the adjustment are Jiang Peng (Sanfeng), Wu Yongming (Dongxie), Zhang Yong (Xiaoyaozi), Zhang Yu (Yuyan), Wu Minzhi, Ye Peng and Wang Jian, and all seven presidents report directly to Jack Ma.

On January 10, 2013, Alibaba Group announced in Hangzhou that the group's existing business structure and organization will be adjusted to 25 business units, and the business development of specific business units will be the responsibility of the presidents (general managers) of each business unit. Zhang Yong (Xiaoyaozi) is in charge of: Tmall Business Unit, Logistics Business Unit (Skynet), Liangwuxian Business Unit, and Air Travel Business Unit.
