From November 15, 2020, Shaoxing City will uniformly issue Shaoxing Citizen Card (hereinafter referred to as Shaoxing Tong Card), which is a transportation IC card with information storage, electronic credentials, information query, and electronic wallet in accordance with the interoperability standards of the Ministry of Transport.

One card in hand, travel freely in Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Ningbo

In order to meet the needs of people of different ages, Shaoxing Tong Card is divided into ordinary cards, student cards, senior cards, love cards and other card types, and special groups can enjoy corresponding preferential policies. It is understood that Shaoxing Tong Card (non-interoperable card) is an upgraded version of Shaoxing Bus Card. In addition to being used in public transportation fields such as buses and public bicycles in various districts, counties (cities), it will also realize the interoperability of Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Ningbo intercity trains, Hangzhou subways, buses and public bicycles in the main urban area and Ningbo buses in the future, bringing great convenience to citizens' travel and life.

Currently, more than 100 Shaoxing Citizen Card and Tongka service points (formerly public transportation recharge card outlets and postal savings service outlets) have been accepting business. Citizens can bring their ID cards and original public transportation IC cards (or public bicycle cards) to the service outlets to handle balance transfers, free card replacements, etc. The new cards will still maintain the original preferential policies.
