武卫女士曾为毕马威华振会计师事务所北京分公司的审计合伙人。于毕马威会计师事务所工作15年间,武女士为首席审计合伙人,于多间海外上市的中国公司作首次公开发售审计及年度审计,并向多间跨国企业提供审计、会计及咨询服务。
2007年7月,武卫加入阿里巴巴集团,出任首席财务官一职。
2011年10月,任阿里巴巴集团副首席财务官。

Wu Wei, female, is currently the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Alibaba Group and concurrently serves as the head of the Group's Strategic Investment Department.
Ms. Wu Wei was an audit partner at KPMG Huazhen Accounting Firm's Beijing branch. During her 15 years at KPMG, Ms. Wu was the chief audit partner, providing initial public offering audits and annual audits for many overseas-listed Chinese companies, and providing audit, accounting and consulting services to many multinational companies.
In July 2007, Wu Wei joined Alibaba Group as Chief Financial Officer.
In October 2011, she became the Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Alibaba Group.
In May 2014, she became the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Alibaba Group.
In the 2015 Forbes list of the 50 most powerful women in business in Asia, she ranked 8th.
In September 2016, Wu Wei ranked 32nd among Fortune's 50 most influential women in the world.
