The original design concept was actually proposed by the American RRM Architectural Firm, and the inspiration came from the mirror image of ancient Chinese coins from the Warring States Period.

The China Zun Building is located in the Z15 plot in the core area of ​​Beijing's central business district, east to Jinhe East Road, south to the planned green space, west to Jinhe Road, and north to Guanghua Road. It is the tallest landmark building in Beijing. The project covers an area of ​​11,478 square meters and has a total construction area of ​​437,000 square meters, including 350,000 square meters above ground and 87,000 square meters underground. The total building height is 528 meters, with 108 floors above ground and 7 floors underground (excluding mezzanines). It can accommodate 12,000 people for office work and is the headquarters building of CITIC Group. The China Zun Building is invested by Beijing CITIC Heye Co., Ltd. The China Zun Building will integrate a variety of supporting service functions such as Grade A office buildings, conferences, and commerce. After the project is completed, it will attract international financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies to settle in.

According to the statistics of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) in 2018, the height of China Zun Tower ranks eighth among the world's completed super high-rise buildings and fourth in China. It is also the tallest building built worldwide in 2018.

Design Concept

China Zun Tower draws elements from Chinese history and culture, such as the barrel-shaped tower body, the crown of Kongming lanterns and the city gate entrance. After abstract processing and proportion optimization, the shape gradually shrinks from the bottom to the middle and upper parts, and the top gradually enlarges, forming a hyperbolic architectural shape with a slight taper in the middle, which is symmetrical, solemn and soothing. China Zun Tower rises straight into the clouds, elegant and upright, showing a magnificent momentum of standing tall. The core tube of the tower is square, the outer contour is a rounded square, the inner top is round, and the crown of the tower is cut into a petal-shaped curve, which contains the humanistic temperament of "round outside and square inside, round sky and square earth". The indoor office space is convenient and practical, with both appearance and function.
