P8 in Alibaba is a senior expert level, equivalent to M3 in the management line.

According to Alibaba's job promotion system, most of Alibaba's employees are between P4-P7, and a doctoral-level employee can only reach P6. To reach P8, not only do you have to have 6-12 years of work experience, but you also need to have magical business capabilities, and the promotion rate is extremely low, which is simply harder than climbing to the sky.
