Alibaba's partnership system is a way of corporate management, that is, some important positions or talents can become "partners" to participate in corporate management and become sharers of the company's interests (generally, personal income is linked to company performance, not sharing after-tax profits). Therefore, Alibaba Group (only discussing US-listed companies, the same below) is a joint-stock company. The company's equity belongs to all shareholders. It pays corporate income tax, and there are no general or limited partners in the legal sense.
