Taobao CEO is not Jack Ma, but Jiang Peng. Jack Ma is the chairman of the board of directors of Alibaba Group.

1. Jiang Peng joined Alibaba Group in January 2000 and served as the technical development leader of Alibaba from 2000 to 2003.

In May 2003, he joined the Taobao preparatory team to develop Taobao. From 2005 to August 2009, he served as the person in charge of Taobao's technical development and led the technical team. In August 2009, Jiang Peng served as the vice president of Taobao's consumer business department, responsible for the product and operation of Taobao's market. He holds a master's degree in water conservancy and hydropower engineering from Tsinghua University.

On June 16, 2012, Alibaba Group split Taobao into three companies: eTao.com, Taobao.com and Taobao Mall. Lu Zhaoxi resigned as the CEO of Taobao and became the full-time CEO of the listed company. The position of Taobao CEO was taken over by Jiang Peng.

2. Jack Ma, male, was born on October 15, 1964 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. His ancestral home is Gulai Town, Shengzhou City (formerly Sheng County), Zhejiang Province. He is the main founder of Alibaba Group. He is currently the chairman of the board of directors of Alibaba Group, a director of Japan SoftBank, chairman of the China Council of TNC (The Nature Conservancy) and a member of the global board of directors, a director of Huayi Brothers, and a director of the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences Foundation.
