Born on September 10, 1964 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, his ancestral home is Shengxian County, Zhejiang. He graduated from Hangzhou Normal University and is the main founder of Alibaba Group. He is currently a director of Huayi Brothers and co-chair of the United Nations High-Level Panel on Digital Cooperation. He is the founder of Taobao and Alipay, one of the earliest leaders of the digital economy, and has pioneered a new form of world-leading B2B business and e-commerce services and online shopping.
