Alibaba is the protagonist of the story of Alibaba and the Forty Thieves in the famous ancient Arabic folk story collection Arabian Nights, that is, the Thousand and One Nights.

Alibaba and the Forty Thieves depicts a life story that took place in the medieval Arab Empire: Ali Baba, a poor and penniless woodcutter, accidentally discovered the treasure hiding place of a robber group on his way to chop wood. He easily obtained a large amount of treasure, but he did not take it all for himself. The robbers conspired to kill Ali Baba to eliminate future troubles. Ali Baba was helped by the smart, witty and hateful maid Morgiana, and then he was able to escape danger and defeat the robbers.

Mogiana cleverly destroyed the robbers' evil plans three times, killing two robbers with the knife of her companions and scalding another 37 robbers to death with boiling oil. She also took the opportunity of dancing to stab the leader of the robbers to death with a dagger. Finally, Ali Baba gave her half of the property he got and let his son marry her.

The work is easy to understand, with a tortuous and wonderful plot, which vividly expresses people's yearning and pursuit for a better life. It also tells us from the side that we should be an upright person who knows how to repay kindness.
