Alibaba's three CEOs are Jack Ma, Joseph Tsai and Daniel Zhang.

Among them, Jack Ma served as Alibaba's CEO from 2003 to 2013, and Joseph Tsai took over from 2013 to 2015; Joseph Tsai is a senior executive of Alibaba and has served as Alibaba's CFO and COO; Daniel Zhang is a senior executive of Alibaba and has served as Alibaba's COO.

Alibaba announced the "1+6+N" organizational reform, establishing six major business groups and multiple business companies, including Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, Taobao Tmall Business, Local Life, International Digital Business, Cainiao, and Big Entertainment, and implementing the CEO responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors of each business group, and taking overall responsibility for their respective operating results.

The fate of Alibaba will be more determined by these six major business groups, especially the six CEOs who control them: Zhang Yong, Dai Shan, Yu Yongfu, Jiang Fan, Wan Lin and Fan Luyuan.

Zhang Yong is not only the CEO of Alibaba, but also a director of several listed companies. On September 10, 2018, Jack Ma announced that he would step down as chairman of Alibaba’s board of directors after one year, and Zhang Yong would take over the position. Under Zhang Yong’s leadership, Alibaba has entered into commercial cooperation with many companies, driving the growth of Alibaba’s overall revenue.
