Xinyang Aviation Vocational College is a full-time aviation college approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government, filed with the Ministry of Education, and included in the national unified enrollment plan. It is also the only aviation higher vocational college in Henan Province.

The college is located in the beautiful Zhenlei Mountain Scenic Area, Pingqiao District, Xinyang City. It gathers the essence of Leishan humanities and enjoys the beautiful clouds and waters of Duhe River. It is an important part of Xinyang Leishan Craftsman Valley-Craftsmanship Valley. After years of development and construction, this beautiful campus located in the mountains and forests has gradually formed a "one body and two wings" development pattern with Leishan Campus as the main body, Nanwan Campus and Xihe Phase III Undergraduate Campus as the auxiliary, providing students with a good learning and growth environment and meeting the development needs of vocational education.

The college currently has 9 secondary colleges, including the Flight Attendant College, the Aviation Engineering College, the Flight College, the Artificial Intelligence College, the Business School, the Information Technology College, and the Education College. It offers 47 majors, including flight attendants, aircraft electromechanical equipment maintenance, helicopter driving technology, fixed-wing aircraft driving technology, preschool education, e-commerce, Internet of Things application technology, automobile inspection and maintenance technology, big data and accounting.

The college has a strong faculty. The school currently has 475 full-time teachers, including 16 national management experts, experts enjoying State Council subsidies, and provincial management experts, and 61 part-time teachers from enterprises and industries; Yan Chuliang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Yang Fengtian, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Yang Guoqing, the former deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the former president of the Civil Aviation University of China, is invited as the honorary dean of the Lenin Academy of our school; He Li, the former vice president of China International Airlines and the president of the China Aircraft Maintenance Society, is the honorary dean of the School of Aviation Engineering of our college; Liu Yumei, the former director of the Skill Appraisal Center of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the general manager of China International Airlines, and the senior flight attendant of the special aircraft, is the honorary dean of the School of Aviation Management of our school.
