Li Bin founded Bitauto in June 2000. On November 17, 2010, he led Bitauto to become China's first automotive Internet company listed overseas (stock code: BITA). After more than ten years of development, Bitauto has nearly 3,000 employees and its business covers 341 cities across the country, making it China's largest automotive Internet company.

In the past ten years, as the founder, chairman and CEO of Bitauto, Li Bin has led Bitauto to carry out many forward-looking practices in the fields of user demand insight, Internet marketing, and automotive e-commerce, becoming one of the important figures influencing China's automotive Internet industry.

Li Bin pays attention to the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility and serves as the vice president of the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA). With the mission of promoting the healthy development of the automotive industry, he has contributed to the healthy and sustainable development of the automotive industry by building an industry exchange platform, cultivating automotive industry talents, and establishing an automotive care fund.

On July 15, 2017, he won the first "NetEase Future Technology Figure Award" - "Innovative Business Leader".

In January 2018, Li Bin announced his resignation as CEO of Bitauto, but he will still serve as chairman, and the position of Bitauto CEO will be taken over by Yixin CEO Zhang Xuan.

In 2021, he was selected into the "2021 Forbes Global Rich List" with a wealth of US$5.8 billion, ranking 476th.
