I keep seeing Douyin ads and can't exit. This is Douyin's system setting. They set it up this way on purpose. Obviously, their purpose is to make you watch more ads and finish watching the ads. Many apps rely on advertisers to raise money to fund them. So they have to broadcast those ads provided by advertisers in Douyin. Take a look and support them.
