跨境电商是指分属不同关境的交易主体,通过电子商务平台达成交易、进行电子支付结算,并通过跨境物流送达商品、完成交易的一种国际商业活动。属于外贸和互联网结合的行业,其本质还是属于外贸,但插上了互联网的翅膀,就变成了既让传统外贸的人不适应,也让做互联网的人更加陌生。
总体上来说,跨境电商还是比较难做的,或者说,无论哪个行业,发展到比较完善的阶段,都进入红海期,不可能太容易。
2013年之前的跨境电商属于外贸批发的黄金年代;2014年之后,跨境电商进入了平台卖家时代,ebay,亚马逊,wish,速卖通等平台开始崛起;2017、2018年,各大跨境电商平台逐渐正规化;特别是2018年开始,平台的规则审核越来越正规化,跨境电商也在茁壮的成长。
总体上来说,个人认为近两年还是适合入跨境电商的。中国商品产能过剩,需要更广阔的市场;而我国的产品因为成本低,还是有比较大的竞争力的;同时跨境电商平台还在上升期,远远没有达到一个饱和的状态。
所以,2019年来看,跨境电商还是一个朝阳产业,还是比较有价值的,但是能否赚到钱的话,还是需要看个人的能力了。

Before 2013, cross-border e-commerce belonged to the golden age of foreign trade wholesale; after 2014, cross-border e-commerce entered the era of platform sellers, and platforms such as eBay, Amazon, wish, and AliExpress began to rise; in 2017 and 2018, major cross-border e-commerce platforms gradually became formalized; especially since 2018, the platform's rule review has become more and more formalized, and cross-border e-commerce is also growing vigorously.
Generally speaking, I think it is still suitable to enter cross-border e-commerce in the next two years. China has an overcapacity of goods and needs a broader market; and our products are still relatively competitive because of their low cost; at the same time, cross-border e-commerce platforms are still in the rising stage and are far from reaching a saturated state.
Therefore, in 2019, cross-border e-commerce is still a sunrise industry and is still relatively valuable, but whether you can make money still depends on your personal ability.
